Crossroads empowers young people to unlock their potential
and positively impact the world.

Each year, we engage over 1,000 young people in summer and school year programming focused on four areas of development:

leadership

civic engagement

social-emotional learning

postsecondary access and success.

We are a recognized leader in Boston’s youth development sector and have been doing this important work with young people since 1936.

74% of Crossroads families are low income. This means that dynamic programs and experiences that enrich the lives of our young people are too often out of reach for their families.

Crossroads ensures that accessibility is never an issue for any child, regardless of financial circumstance.

And while our participants face many obstacles, Crossroads seeks to shatter the narrative that our young people are defined by their social and economic circumstances.

A 10-year continuum of year-round, experiential learning programs that provide endless opportunities for exploration, growth, and mentorship.

Camp Wing, Duxbury & Camp Mitton, Brewster (Grades 2-8)

Eight weeks of residential, overnight summer programs where children experience the power of the Crossroads community as they enjoy cabin life, learn to swim and ride a bike, tackle the high ropes course, explore the unique beauty of nature, and make new friends. More

Junior Leaders Program (Grades 3-7)

Children build on their summer experiences during the school year through weekend and vacation week programs at Camp Wing designed to foster confidence and leadership skills. More

C5 Leaders Program at Camp Lapham, Ashby and beyond (Grades 8-12)

Year-round experiential learning that includes outdoor education, leadership development, community service, and college and career exploration. Participants develop critical social-emotional skills, achieve academic success, attend to mental and physical wellness, and chart a course for the future. Over five carefully scaffolded years, teens are empowered to be character-driven, community-focused, challenge- ready, college/career-bound, and committed to a better future—the 5Cs. More

And we have impact...

We believe

...young people can shape their own futures and should not be defined by their social and economic circumstances.

...young people living in complicated contexts need to feel they are an integral part of a community, where they are consistently supported to “be more and do more.”

...all young people—regardless of zip code or circumstances—should have full access to opportunities, networks and skill-building experiences that help them to succeed in their schools, communities and chosen postsecondary pathways.

We believe that quality summer camp and year-round leadership programs make a difference in the lives of our children and their families.
