CWDC Overnight and Field Trips
Field trips will leave from and return to camp during the regularly scheduled day, so your child should travel to and from camp as normal. Campers must wear their camp T-shirt to travel off camp on the field trip (this helps with the visibility and safety of our group in public places). Campers need to bring a lunch and drink with them like a typical camp day. Campers are not required to bring money, but may bring up to $5 for souvenirs. Campers who do not go on the field trips will have a regular day of camp activities.

Each session the LITs have the option to go on a field trip and have an overnight. Past field trips have included Six Flags New England, Brownstone Adventure and Discovery Park, Kayaking Excursion, etc. Specific trips for each session will be announced closer to camp, and depend on availability. Each trip and overnight is optional. LITs who do not go on the field trips will have a regular day of camp activities.
Campers cook dinner at their campsites, make s’mores, have evening activities, sleep out, and then continue camp the following morning. Campers should bring everything they need to stay over when they come to camp on the Tuesday morning of the overnight, including a second lunch for the next day (both lunches will be refrigerated). Overnighters should be picked up on Wednesday afternoon at their regular time.
Campers who are staying for the overnight experience should bring the following to camp: Sleeping bag and pillow, pajamas, toiletries, sweatshirt/warm top layer, Wednesday clothes for camp, two lunches (Tues and Wed), extra bathing suit/towel, and a flashlight.
