COMPASS CLASS PAGE
School Year Experience
During your Compass school year, your events will focus on college and career development, as well as affecting social change. This will be done through workshops as well as through your participation in State House Day where you will meet with state legislators and learn more about state government. Throughout this year, you will begin to discuss your Medallion Service trip as well as plan for the ACT Now! Summit held during the summer.
College Fridays are an opportunity for you to get a more in-depth and personalized view of a college that you might be interested in attending. Small groups of teens (usually 3-5) will visit a college in the area on a Friday to go on a tour and meet with admissions staff.
Transitioning from Compass to Medallion
This summer you will plan and participate in the week-long ACT Now! Summit. The purpose of the Summit is to design your Medallion Service Trip where you and your class will travel to an area in need and perform community service there. This experience will take place at Camp Lapham.
