SUMMER 2022 COVID-19 POLICY

Crossroads will require all staff and participants to submit proof of an up to date COVID-19 vaccination status, as defined by the CDC, prior to arrival at camp.

We will require proof of an up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status as defined by the CDC prior to arrival at camp.  An up-to-date COVID vaccination status is described as follows:

  • a two-dose series of an mRNA COVID vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine)
  • and a booster shot, if eligible.

While this vaccination policy will constitute a major component of the Crossroads defense against COVID-19, further onsite policies will not be finalized until May 2022. We appreciate your understanding that the safety of all participants, staff, and the wider community must remain our top priority. The Crossroads team will continue to monitor COVID-19 regulations and data in order to develop informed policies ahead of the summer. We look forward to continuing to plan for an incredible summer 2022.

WHAT WILL A FULLY VACCINATED CAMP EXPERIENCE LOOK LIKE?

Last summer our camp policies included pre-camp PCR testing, on-site rapid testing, masks, distancing, group pods, enhanced sanitation and hygiene, and a focus on outdoor programming. Crossroads hopes that requiring the vaccine will allow more freedom and flexibility this summer. The Crossroads team will continue to monitor COVID-19 regulations and data in order to develop informed policies ahead of the summer.
