Meet Our C5 Leaders
C5 Leaders
The Crossroads C5 Leaders program serves over 500 students in grades 8-12 and in their first two years of college. Over the course of five years, students refine and practice their leadership skills as they immerse themselves in experiential learning contexts, civic engagement, and college and career exploration. Through hands-on learning in transformative spaces, they practice and refine the essential social emotional skills required for success in high school and beyond.
C5 Leaders provides teens with access to a powerful, consistent community of peers and mentors who reinforce C5 values, model personal agency, and serve as inspiration for the future. As C5 leaders immerse themselves in outdoor challenges, perform community service, attend weekend sessions with community leaders, gather fireside to discuss social justice issues, tour college campuses, or meet after school to map out postsecondary plans, they are developing the skills and dispositions required for academic persistence, community impact, and success in life.
With locations in Atlanta, Texas, Los Angeles, and here in Boston (C5 New England), C5 National is built upon the foundation of the 5 “C’s” which strive to empower youth to be character-driven, community-focused, challenge-ready, college/career-bound, and committed to a better future.

C5 Application Process
We are seeking current 7th graders who demonstrate great promise to join the C5 Leaders! We inspire incredibly shy leaders to find their power, and guide energetic extroverts to empower others. Nominees can have a variety of attributes and characteristics, but must be enthusiastic and open to new opportunities.
Students must be nominated by Crossroads, a program partner, or middle school staff, and then complete an application and interview process. Teens accepted into C5 Leaders must make a five-year commitment (Grades 8-12) to participate in year-round workshops, trips, and overnight summer programming where they develop their leadership skills, foster relationships, and continue to plan for the future.
To learn more or to nominate an current 7th grader for the C5 Leaders program, please contact Joanne Fay, Director of C5 New England, at joanne@crossroadsma.org.
