Transportation and Directions

When you pick up your teen on the last day please be sure to bring a photo ID as you will need this to sign him or her out.

If your teen is taking the bus:

Boston Bus: BC High School, Dorchester
First Day: Meet in the parking lot of BC High School at 11:00 A.M.

Last Day: Please pick up your teen at 11:00 A.M

Brockton Bus: Keith School
First Day: Meet at the Keith School on W. Elm Street at 11:00 A.M.
Last Day: Please pick up your teen at 11:30 A.M.

Directions to BC High School
By Train to JFK/UMass: Located on the Red Line, JFK/UMass is only a 5-minute walk to BC High. Walk up Morrissey Blvd. towards Shaws Supermarket and cross over the footbridge. BC High is a few yards from the footbridge on the left.

By Car:
From 93S: Take Exit 15 off the I-93 expressway. Take a left at the bottom of the ramp and proceed past the T station (JFK/UMass). Take first right at the rotary onto Morrissey Blvd. At the bottom of the hill, bear right onto the UMass service road. Proceed through the set of lights in front of the Boston Globe Building. At the second set of lights (the entrance to the UMass/JFK Library complex), take a left making a U-turn back onto Morrissey Blvd. Immediately bear right onto the service road and use the second entrance into BC High.

From 93N: Take Exit 14. Merge off the ramp onto Morrissey Blvd. and proceed over the bridge. Immediately after the lights at the entrance to UMass, bear right onto the service road and use the entrance into BC High (second driveway).

If you are driving directly to/from camp:

Driving Direct: Camp Lapham
First Day: Please arrive at the camp between 12:30 P.M and 1:00 P.M.
Last Day: Please pick-up your teen between 9:00 A.M and 9:30 A.M.


Directions to Camp Lapham by Car
From Boston: Take Rt. 2 West  (can be reached by Rt. 128/I-95N or by the Fresh Pond Parkway in Cambridge). Follow Rt. 2 to Concord, at the rotary (near Concord Prison) turn onto Rt. 119 West. Follow Rt. 119 through all its twists and turns for about 25 miles into Ashby.  When you enter Ashby, watch for South Rd. on the left (small store on the corner). Turn left onto South Rd. Camp will be about a 1/2 mile up on the right.
From Brockton: Take Rt. 24N to Rt. 93 toward Dedham. 93 turns into 95N. Follow 95N to Rt. 2 West.  See directions from Boston above following Rt. 2 West.

Safety Rules and Procedures:

Please follow these procedures to help us maintain the safety of all campers:
  • During arrival and departure, please follow the instructions of staff directing traffic carefully. Parents have responsibility for campers until they are ON the bus and supervised by staff.
  • Please unload vehicles of gear in unloading zones (clearly marked by signs) only.
  • Please discuss the following safety rules with your camper: All persons need to be sitting on the bus, facing forward, hands and heads inside the bus (not out the window) and campers need to follow directions and listen carefully as staff discusses the rules before the bus leaves for camp.
